"But" can be replaced with "However" or "Nevertheless".
"And" can be replaced with "Furthermore" or "In addition".
In comprehension, do not start a sentence with "So", "So that" or "To".
Past tense
1) Present - seek
Past - sought
2) Present - Forgive
Past - Forgave
3) Present - Worship
Past - Worshipped (double p)
Punctuations
E.g. "Who are you?" she asked.
Note that the word "she" starts with a small letter. The sentence only ends at the word "asked", so "she" should not start with a capital letter.
"I will go," Sam replied.
Note that the word "go" is followed by a comma, not a fullstop.
